AND CASIO BRING MACROMEDIA FLASH PLAYER TO CASIO PDAs
Users Can Download Player, Original Macromedia
Flash Content From myCasio.com

(NASDAQ: MACR) and Casio Computer Co., Ltd. today
announced that Macromedia Flash Player for Casio's Pocket
PC and Windows CE based PDAs, including the BE-300 Pocket
Manager and the new E-200 running the Pocket PC 2002
OS, will be available later this month. Macromedia
Flash, one of the most distributed pieces of software
in the history of the web, is the standard for delivering
effective web interfaces and engaging, branded experiences
online. Macromedia Flash Player for Casio PDAs will
be available for download as part of the myCasio.com
service at www.mycasio.com.
"Casio and Macromedia are both

give users the Macromedia Flash Player to install, as

Casio is working with leading Macromedia
Flash content developers including Smashing Ideas, idearage,
Red i Studios, and others to create custom Macromedia
Flash content for the myCasio.com service. This Macromedia
Flash content will be available to myCasio.com subscribers
through content channels that can deliver games, animation,
and applications. More than one million Macromedia Flash
developers can also take advantage of these channels
to deliver content to a waiting audience.

Macromedia Flash Player into Next Generation Home Entertainment

of advanced platforms and products for enhanced home
entertainment, and Macromedia, Inc. (NASDAQ:MACR),
today announced that Macromedia Flash Player 5 is a
key component of Moxi's new entertainment platform,
the Moxi Media Center.
Moxi, which also today unveiled the
details of its product strategy and vision for dramatically
enhancing and improving the home entertainment experience
(see separate releases),
will integrate the Macromedia Flash Player 5 throughout
its entire platform including its user interface, the
Moxi Media Guide, and core entertainment applications.
Moxi also plans to apply its software
and hardware expertise to innovatively use Macromedia
Flash for its media rich, intuitive, real-time user
interface complete with advanced graphic effects. Since
Macromedia Flash is central to the platform, graphic
designers and user interface designers can develop for
the Moxi Media Center using the software with which
they are already familiar to create cost-effective customized
user experiences. The relationship between the two companies
enables the more than one million members of the Macromedia
Flash developer community to easily create unique applications
for Moxi's new home entertainment platform.

an incredibly rich and highly customized interactive
experience to consumers including: quickly and easily

Guide; and integrating relevant e-commerce opportunities
(i.e. up-sell a consumer the new DVD movie of their
favorite actor).
The licensing agreement between Moxi
Digital and Macromedia expands upon the existing relationship
that began last year when Macromedia participated in
Moxi's first round of funding through an investment
from Macromedia Ventures.
